Setup App for Lamps

3th Semester | Optional Subject: Ix-Design

The task was to design a interface for a product, that can be used in the smart home field. I decided to concern myself with the home lighting.

Because there are still some good and well established lighting-systems, i don't wanted to create another one, but complement an existing system with a new product and an interface for it.

The lamp is divided into seperately lightable segments

A connected smartphone can be located similiar to a radar system

The Smartphone measures the ambient light for every single segment in the room

The App calculates the right amount of brightness for every segment in order to reach a homogeneous illumination of the room

Illuminate the whole room or specific areas inside it with only one lamp

Avoid glares with more control of the light

Save energy with a homogeneuos illumination

Other light sources are regarded

No dark corners

Detects and integrates the lamp into the light control

Measures and corrects the light distribution inside a room

Creates individual light scenes with change of the light distribution

For user testing i included the screens into a Marvel-App project:
