Scraplamp made out of a cobbler's last
and a potato ricer

2th Semester | Basics of Design
The task was the design of a lamp that consist of at least two old, used parts. These two parts should have completely different contexts and also shouldn't be part of a existing lamp.

The two parts must not be changed very much to keep their character preserved. An additional part of a new material can be produced and included, if it supports the appearance of the lamp very well.
IMPORTANT FOR THE WORK WAS...

...the composition of the parts and the whole appearance of the whole lamp in consideration of form, colour, material and structure

...the design of the connection between the seperated parts using existing or own elements

...the usability of the lamp as a reading light
REALISATION

I constructed a own LED module with an heat sink

The lamp can be dimmed by using a Arduino board and a LED driver

A pushbutton inside the cobbler's last is used for switching and dimming the light
The scraplamp is a inherent part of my workspace
